Mission
TRICALS-affiliated ALS team established 1995, serving the Central Denmark Region (population 1.3 million). Core team: neurologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, social worker. Close collaboration with the Regional Respiratory Center, Palliative and Supportive Care Unit, Danish National Rehabilitation Center for Neuromuscular Diseases, and other Danish ALS teams. Beyond industry-sponsored trials, conducts investigator-initiated research in neuroimaging biomarkers, metabolic neuroimaging, TMS neurophysiology, cognition (emotional bias), and biochemical bloodmarkers.
